The Association of Russian Speaking Intersex (ARSI) was created in 2013 by Aleksander Beryozkin as a unity of people with and without intersex variations for the sake of a future in which the rights of every person are respected.

The organization’s activities are based on the ideas of equality and universal vulnerability of every person, regardless of gender, race, nationality, property and official position, place of residence, religion, or other circumstances. We are open to cooperation with everyone who shares our key principles and passion for the well-being of intersex people.

We understand the problems and needs of intersex people as a political issue that must be resolved by the state regardless of its political regime. We give priority to structural changes that can be effectively implemented in the current political and legal environment to improve the situation of the intersex community as a whole.

We treat language as a means of communication, the content of which depends on the time, place, purpose, and context of the message. Sometimes this may mean using the language of power to protect those whom it suppresses.

We deem the visibility of intersex people and intersex issues as an essential condition for well-being and respect for the rights and freedoms of intersex people. At the same time, we value the privacy and security of our team and clients.
